How I Met My Husband

It was my senior year of high school. I was going to really focus on grades that year since I was still heart broken  over my childhood friend. We had dated for 11 months, with the last 2 of those months being in total silence... literally. We lived 9 hours apart. When that ended at the end of my junior year I had a pretty rough summer. My mindset was set to grades, and my new found talent: art.
It was 3rd period Drawing 1 with Mrs. Guthrie. I was sitting with my friends Kayla G., Kayla U., and Ashley T. Ashley had pointed to a guy at the table next to us. "That's Dan's (her ex-boyfriend) brother, Dave," He looked kind of cute, but a bit like a punk. I didn't get to know him very well through art class. However, I did enjoy Swing Dance Club. While attending one day, Dave (that cute guy in my art class) was there. And much to my surprise, he actually took the time to be my partner for a little bit. Having someone other than the same sex (yes, our club was pretty much all women) it was nice to do the moves the way they were meant to be done.
After that we talked in the halls for the most part, still not saying much in art class. I did notice that after Christmas break he wasn't there anymore. Yet, I still saw him in the halls from time to time. I did learn from him that he was actually a "super senior" that year (meaning he dropped out the previous year and was trying again while he still could). Unfortunately, he dropped out again and just returned from time to time to see his friends.
Eventually we became friends on the oh so popular social networking site "Facebook." From there it was mostly just a lot of talking when he could get to the library for Internet access. Finally we both got cell phones and were able to text and call.
After I graduated I still was having a rough summer in the guy department. David was there for me and comforted me through the whole thing. Even when one of those guys was his friend. David seemed to understand what I was going through and he turned from "cute guy that was in my art class" to a really sweet guy that I was becoming interested in.
On August 27, 2009, David made it official, and asked me out. :)
By October that year, he and his mom accepted me into their home.
Last October, David proposed.
August 7of this year, we were married <3
